East Singhbhum, 04 November (Read). In a public meeting organized on Tuesday in support of the BJP candidate in Ghatshila Assembly by-election, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that change is now certain in Jharkhand. He said that like Odisha, the people of Jharkhand also want development and stability, but the Jharkhand government has dashed the expectations of the people.

Chief Minister Majhi said that today Odisha is moving on the path of rapid development due to the double engine government. With the coordination of the Center and the State, the benefits of the schemes have reached every village and every poor. At the same time, despite abundance of mineral resources in Jharkhand, problems like unemployment, migration and corruption remain the same. He said that the public is now ready to answer all these and is considering BJP as a strong option.

Ghatshila by-election is the beginning of political change in Jharkhand

He said that people across the country are impressed by the development taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Even in the states where by-elections are being held, including Bihar, people are voting in favor of NDA. He claimed that the victory of BJP candidate Babulal Soren from Ghatshila is certain and this by-election will prove to be the beginning of political change in Jharkhand.

Along with the Chief Minister of Odisha, former Chief Minister and BJP leader Champai Soren, Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Varan Mahato and Sido-Kanhu descendant Mandal Murmu were present in the meeting. BJP leaders from the stage described the Jharkhand government as a failure on every front and appealed to the public to vote in favor of the BJP candidate.

It is noteworthy that Ghatshila Assembly seat has become vacant due to the death of late Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren. In this by-election, JMM has fielded his son Somesh Soren, while BJP has fielded Babulal Soren, son of former Chief Minister Champai Soren. It is believed that there is a close contest between the two parties and the political temperature is continuously rising.
