A video involving Rohit Sharmapranking his Mumbai teammates with a shock-pen has gone viral on social media. Rohit recently represented India during the three-match ODI series against Australia.

He shared the comical clip on his Instagram account. Initially, Rohit was provided the pen. However, he immediately felt something was fishy and quickly identified the pen to be one of the shock pens. The electric pen, which is capable of delivering a mild shock when a person presses its top, was passed to a member from the support staff before Dhawal Kulkarni was pranked.

The startled reactions of both, in particular Dhawal during a gym session involving Shardul Thakur among others, had Rohit in splits. The comments section was filled with Rohit's fans being amused by his fun-loving personality.  

Rohit made an international comeback for India after a hiatus of several months post the title-winning Champions Trophy in the UAE in February-March this year. He recently played all three ODIs against Australia and also secured the Player of the Series award with 202 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 85.59.

His unbeaten 121-run knock off 125 deliveries in the third ODI in Sydney led India to a convincing win, as the former Indian skipper forged a solid unbeaten stand of 168 runs off 170 balls with Virat Kohli to set up a nine-wicket victory with 69 balls to spare. However, the Men in Blue lost the series by 2-1 margin.

Rohit, already having retired from T20Is and Test cricket, will now be expected to feature in the national setup in the upcoming South Africa series at home. The all-format series is slated to comprise two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is. The ODIs will be played in Ranchi (November 30), Raipur (December 3) and Visakhapatnam (December 6).
