Ranchi:The 14th Ranchi District Kho-Kho Championship organized under the aegis of Ranchi District Kho-Kho Association had a grand finale today. On this occasion, the chief guests honored the players and pledged to take the Kho-Kho game forward. He said that the players will bring glory to Ranchi at the state and national level with continuous practice and discipline.

The winning team in the men’s category was Little Star Club, Ranchi. Birsa Munda Club Ranchi stood second, ODM Sapphire Global School Hardag stood third and Global School team stood fourth. In the girls category, the winning team was Day Boarding Training Center Ranchi. Ranchi Warriors Girls Team, Nagdi stood second, G.V.A.V. stood third. Nagadi team and James Domodih School Tamar team stood fourth.

Ravi Oraon received the special award for best runner in the men’s category. While the best changer was Aman Karthik Rajak and in the girls category, the best chaser was Anushka Tirkey and best runner was Komal Tirkey. The main collaborators of this program were Sangeeta Kumari, Vijay Paul, Sandeep Kumar, Anuj Kumar, Bharat Kumar, Anuj Kumar, Subhash Ganguly and Sumit Munda, Ajit Lakra, who played an important role in making the event successful.

Ranchi District Kho-Kho Association Secretary Sunil Kumar encouraged all the players and said that they have played an important role in taking the Kho-Kho game forward. He assured that the association will continue to provide all possible support to the players so that the players of Ranchi district can perform excellently at the state and national level. The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Rahul Yadav and co-guest Neelam Choudhary.
