As the retention deadline for the IPL 2026 season is getting closer, the heartbeats of the fans are also increasing. BCCI has not yet officially announced the last date of retention, but it is believed that by the end of the third week of November, all the franchises will have to give information about their retained players. But before this retention, the trade window is currently open and it has increased the restlessness of the fans and the reason for this is a trade which will be remembered forever because there is a discussion going on about the trade of 3 players between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.
A few days after the end of the last IPL season, rumors of Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson leaving the franchise started doing the rounds and in the last few weeks, these rumors were proved to be true. Since then, everyone's eyes were on whether Samson comes in the mini auction or is he traded to someone else. But Rajasthan Royals are continuously engaged in discussions with the intention of trading him and now the matter seems to be coming to a decisive point.
A report by ESPNcricinfo has revealed that discussions have intensified between Rajasthan and Chennai for Sanju's trade and a total of 3 players can be involved in this entire deal. On one hand, Samson can leave his team and join Chennai, while in return, CSK is preparing to send its star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and experienced England all-rounder Sam Curran to Rajasthan.
Although this deal has not been sealed yet, it seems closer to reaching its conclusion. If this happens then it will become one of the most memorable and sensational trades in IPL history. If we talk about the specifics of this trade, there will be a direct exchange of Samson and Jadeja because the IPL fee of both is only Rs 18 crore each. Karan was bought by Chennai for Rs 2.40 crore in the last season. In such a situation, Rajasthan will have to hand over this amount to Chennai.
