It is being said that Sanju will be a part of Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2026 through trade. But now, former Team India and CSK spinner Ravichandran Ashwin made a big revelation about Sanju and said that Rajasthan got an offer from Punjab Kings.

Ashwin told on his YouTube channel Aish that Rajasthan’s demand for Sanju Samson is very simple. They need a finisher and a bowler in place of Sanju. The name of Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was put forward by Punjab for Sanju’s trade.

Stoinis, who was bought by Punjab for Rs 11 crore in the 2025 mega auction, was fitting in as a finisher for Rajasthan. But, things could not be cleared regarding the bowler and reportedly the deal could not be finalised. Let us tell you that Sanju is worth Rs 18 crores. Therefore, Punjab would have had to provide another big player along with Stoinis.

Chennai deal better for Rajasthan (Sanju Samson)

On the other hand, from Chennai side, Rajasthan is reportedly being given players like Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran or Mathisha Pathirana in exchange of Sanju Samson. The total price of Jadeja (16 crores) and Curran (4.40 crores) is 20.40 crores. Whereas Sanju is worth 18 crores.

The thing to note is that no official information has come out yet regarding Sanju’s trade. Therefore it would not be appropriate to say anything clearly.
