Amroha/Shamli/Meerut: There was a massive explosion in a car near Gate Number One of Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on Monday night. So far, 9 people have been confirmed dead and 20 injured in this blast. Those who died include 4 people from UP. These include two people from Amroha, one each from Shamli and Meerut. All the bodies have been sent home after identification. The family members are in bad condition and crying. At the same time, security agencies have started investigating this blast.
When car blast shook Delhi: Last night in the country’s capital Delhi, there was a loud explosion in a car near Gate Number One of Red Fort Metro Station. There was panic after this explosion. A cloud of fire and smoke spread all around. The injured were immediately sent to LNJP Hospital through the ambulance that reached the spot. Many security agencies including NIA and NSG have started investigating this blast. Late in the night, Home Minister Amit Shah had reached the hospital to know the condition of the injured. So far 12 people have lost their lives in this accident and 20 people are injured. Those who lost their lives include 4 people from UP. These include two people from Amroha, one each from Shamli and Meerut. The bodies of all these have been sent to their homes.
Death of two people from Amroha: Those who died in the accident include Ashok (35), resident of Mangrol village of Amroha Hasanpur and fertilizer seller Lokesh Aggarwal (52), resident of Hasanpur. The bodies of both have been brought to their ancestral residence in Amroha. Delhi Police has identified the bodies on the basis of documents and vehicle registration numbers found from the spot. According to Delhi Police, Ashok was a contract conductor in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). He was living in a rented house in Jagatpur area of Delhi with his wife Sonam and three small children. Whereas, the second deceased Lokesh Aggarwal (50) has been identified as a fertilizer trader from Hasanpur. His body has also been brought home.
Shamli’s Noman dies, brother injured: The death of Noman (22), resident of Jhinjhana town of Shamli, has been confirmed in the Delhi blast. At the same time, his brother Aman has been seriously injured in this blast. Both brothers run a cosmetic shop in the town. Both had gone to Delhi to buy cosmetic items. Both of them were hit by the blast in their car near the Red Fort. Noman died in this accident. As soon as this information reached his house, his family members started crying inconsolably. According to local people, Noman was a very friendly and hardworking young man. At the same time, Jhinjhana’s CO and police station in-charge, who reached the spot, met the family members and consoled them. Noman’s body is being brought home. The police have assured all possible help to the family and said that they are in constant touch with Delhi Police.
Mohsin of Meerut also died: Mohsin, a resident of New Islam Nagar of Summer Garden Colony of Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut, has also died in the Delhi car blast. Mohsin lived in Delhi with his wife and children. He used to drive an e-rickshaw there. When the family reached home with Mohsin’s body on Tuesday, the atmosphere became sad.
Father Rafiq told that Mohsin was married in Delhi. He has 6 children. He told that Mohsin’s brother also lives in Delhi. Delhi Police has made him sit in the police station. He told that his son used to support the family by driving an e-rickshaw in Delhi. He had shifted from Meerut to Delhi only two years ago. He told that Mohsin and his brother were married to two girls from the same family 12 years ago.
Mohsin’s wife upset: He told that his wife is upset after Mohsin’s death. She wanted to perform the last rites of Mohsin in Delhi while her brothers came to Meerut with his body. Mohsin’s father-in-law has also reached Meerut from Delhi. At the same time, Mohsin’s mother is in bad condition and crying.
