Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been sensational in the last one year. The 14-year-old is ruling batting charts wherever he has played. The young southpaw showed his class in Australia and England, with bowlers failing to contain him.

He is currently representing India A in the Asia Cup Rising Stars in Dona. In the opening contest, he went berserk against the UAE, smashing 144 runs off just 42 balls, laced with 15 sixes and 11 fours. His runs came at a strike rate of 342.85, and the batter took the team’s total to 195/2 in 12.3 overs before his dismissal.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi didn’t spare any bowler and kept hitting boundaries and maximums. He was appointed vice-captain of Bihar in the Ranji Trophy, a big achievement for the player.

Suryavanshi became a household name after making his debut for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League 2025. He scored a hundred against the Gujarat Titans and went on to score over 200 runs in his first season of the tournament.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is carefully managing Vaibhav’s progress and is making sure of increasing his game time. Some of the former Indian players have urged the selectors to fast-track him and include the batter in the Indian side in the shortest format of the game.

Rahul Dravid, who was RR’s coach in the last edition of the IPL, was impressed with Vaibhav Suryavanshi. According to him, they were ready to spend any amount on the player in the mega auction. The 2008 champions managed to buy him for INR 1.10 crore and made him bat against the pacers like Jofra Archer. Once Dravid was convinced that Suryavanshi was ready to compete against the world-class bowlers, he was given a chance in the playing group. He replaced the injured Sanju Samson and hasn’t looked back since then.
