Vipraj Nigam, the Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer representing Delhi Capitals in the IPL, has filed an FIR against a woman, accusing her of harassment. The cricketer is receiving threatening calls from a local number, which he subsequently blocked. However, the harassment continued with calls from multiple international numbers, prompting him to seek legal action at the Kotwali Nagar police station in Barabanki.

He also alleged that during the phone conversations, the woman threatened to frame him in false criminal charges if he did not meet her demands.

According to the cricketer, the woman made unreasonable demands and threatened to circulate a compromising video to ruin his reputation. Nigam explained that the ongoing harassment has severely impacted his career and health, which forced him to approach the authorities for strict legal action.

Police officials have confirmed that an FIR has been registered and investigations are ongoing. They also revealed that they are examining call logs and digital evidence as part of their investigation.

According to a report in NBT, the woman claimed in her complaint that Vipraj personally called her and invited her to a hotel in Sector 135, Noida. She arrived around 6 pm and left by 9 pm. After their meeting, the two reportedly had physical relations, but a heated argument followed. The woman claims Vipraj refused to marry her and threatened to block her afterwards.

The fight reportedly grew more intense, with Vipraj pushing the woman out of the hotel room. She has since claimed to have audio recordings of her talks with Vipraj’s mother and multiple recordings involving the cricketer, which she says prove her innocence in the case. According to her, the harassment allegations by Vipraj are completely false.
