In this match, after winning the toss and coming to bat first, the South African team was all out after scoring 159 runs. In reply, India completed its first innings at 189 runs.

The start of the Indian innings was not that good. Yashasvi Jaiswal was out on the ball of Marco Jansen after scoring 12 runs. KL Rahul scored a struggling 39 runs. Washington Sundar scored 29 runs, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja scored 27 runs each. Captain Shubhman Gill was out of the field due to injury on just 4 runs. The contribution of other batsmen of the team was limited. Due to this, the team was all out for only 189 runs and got a lead of 30 runs.

For South Africa, Simon Harmer took 4 wickets in 15.2 overs. Marco Jansen also took 3 wickets in his name.

Bumrah’s brilliant performance in South Africa’s innings

In South Africa’s first innings, captain Markram scored 31 runs, Montique Rickleton contributed 23 runs and Van Mulder contributed 24 runs. Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets. Apart from this, Mohammad Siraj and Akshar Patel also took important wickets.
