India need 124 runs to win the first Test against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Mohammed Siraj dismissed the last two batters, with the Proteas finishing their second innings on 153 in the first session on Day 3 of the contest.

Captain Temba Bavuma was the top performer for his team, scoring an unbeaten 55 runs off 136 balls, with the help of 4 boundaries. The visitors started the day on 93/7, and the last three wickets added 60 runs.
