Yes, that is what has happened. Actually, Chennai Super Kings have released three foreign and seven Indian players from their squad. These foreign players include Mathisha Pathirana, known as ‘Baby Malinga’, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. The Indian players who have been released from the CSK team include the names of Deepak Hooda, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tripathi, Vansh Vedi, Andre Siddharth, and Sheikh Rashid.
Also know that three more big players of CSK have separated from the team, in which the names of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran are recorded. Ravichandran Ashwin has taken retirement from IPL, due to which he will not play the upcoming season, while Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran have now been acquired by Rajasthan Royals through trade.
Apart from this, Chennai Super Kings have also made it clear that in IPL 2026, the team captain will once again be in the hands of Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was out of the tournament after mid-season due to injury last season.
