In the very first session of the morning, four female boxers of India gave a proud moment to the entire country by winning four consecutive gold medals. In which Nupur Sheoran's name was also included. 20 Indian boxers participated in this tournament. There were 10 male and 10 female boxers. Of these, 15 boxers reached the finals and 9 won gold medals.

4 gold medals one after the other

Meenakshi Hooda of Haryana, who entered the ring first, gave India its first gold of the day by defeating Farzona Fozilova of Uzbekistan 5-0 in a one-sided match in the 48 kg category. After this, Preeti also defeated Italy's Sirin Charabi 5-0 in 54 kg. Arundhati Chaudhary won the third gold in 70 kg by defeating Uzbekistan's Jokirova Aziza 5-0. Nupur Sheoran won the fourth gold of the day by defeating Uzbekistan's Sotimboeva Oltynoy 5-0 in the 80+ kg category.

Recently, after winning the silver medal in the World Championship 2025, Nupur had said that she will return home only with gold in the World Cup. He kept that promise. After this historic victory, in a special conversation with TV9 English, Nupur said, 'It feels really good to win the gold medal. I will finally be able to sleep peacefully. I will definitely sleep for 8-9 hours, because I lost sleep after winning the silver medal in the World Championships.

So I improved my attacking style under the guidance of my coaches.
