On Saturday, the entire England team collapsed for 164 runs on the second day of the match. On the basis of first innings lead, Australia got the target of 205 runs, which they easily achieved with 8 wickets remaining. With this victory, Australia finished an Ashes Test in two days for the first time since 1921. This is only the 26th time in the history of Test cricket, when a match has ended in just two days.

While chasing the target, Travis Head scored a brilliant 123 runs in 83 balls. Marnus Labuschagne remained not out after scoring 51 runs and both the batsmen ensured Australia’s victory.
