IND vs SA 1st ODI Playing 11: KL Rahul-led India will square off against Aiden Markram-led South Africa in the 1st ODI match of the series on November 30 at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

The visitors secured a 2-0 win in the test series of the South Africa tour of India 2025 and will be facing the hosts on a positive note.

Meanwhile, India will be aiming to secure a win in the ODI series to get back on momentum.

India and South Africa have played 94 ODI games, with South Africa holding an advantage of 51 wins, while India has won 40 times.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Aiden Markram said, “We’ll bowl first. Spent a couple of evenings, dew at night time, and it’ll be slightly easier to bat at night.”

“Different personnel, the dressing room is in a good place with a lot of energy and fun. It’s an important series, the end role the 2027 WC, still a bit of time, but we’re up against one of the best teams in the world,” he added.

“Just one spinner in Subrayen, I will bowl a bit – Temba and Maharaj have been rested, four seamers for us today,” concluded Aiden Markram.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul said, “We would have bowled first as well. The preparation has been good, the energy is there with a lot of players coming back, we want to enjoy ourselves in the middle.”

“That’s what the chat has been, we need to use every opportunity we get in the ODI team, this is a great chance to challenge our skills against an excellent team. Three spinners and three quicks for us today,” concluded KL Rahul.
