The IPL 2026 auction will be held on December 16 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. This time a total of 359 players have been shortlisted for the auction. But in this also a maximum of only 77 players can be bought. During this period, there will be a fierce competition among 10 teams to buy star players. Before this mini auction, former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin conducted a mock auction on his YouTube channel. During this time, fans bid for all the 10 teams of IPL, where Cameron Green was most in demand.
In this mock auction, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green received the highest bid. Chennai Super Kings included him in their team by paying an amount of Rs 21 crore. At the same time, Kolkata Knight Riders were also bidding strongly. Actually, both these teams need a star all-rounder, hence such a fight can be seen for Cameron Green in the mini auction also. Apart from this, Liam Livingston of England was also very expensive. He was bought by Kolkata for Rs 18.5 crore, who proved to be the second most expensive player.
At the same time, Indian young all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer also fell into Kolkata's kitty with Rs 17.5 crore.Prithvi Shaw, who was once considered the future of Indian cricket, also found a buyer in this mock auction. Last year he did not find any buyer in the mega auction. But in the mock auction, Kolkata Knight Riders bought Prithvi for Rs 5.25 crore. After which the hopes of his return to IPL have increased. Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi was also expensive, Hyderabad bought him for Rs 10.5 crore. Delhi spent Rs 7 crore for star bowler Mathisha Pathirana.
On the other hand, legends like Steve Smith and Devon Conway remained unsold.
