Delhi Capitals have Rs 21.80 crore left to spend in the auction. After releasing Faf du Plessis, they may show some interest in Quinton. They may be looking for an experienced overseas opener and the Proteas international fits the role perfectly. The Axar Patel-led team has two keepers in Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul and due to this, Quinton may not be included in the playing eleven but can be an excellent back-up option.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore can also look at Quinton de Kock as a replacement for Phil Salt. They do not have any backup opener in the squad and would definitely like to include him. Last year, Mayank Agarwal had filled this role, who has now been released by the franchise. Considering Quinton’s form, he will be RCB’s target in the mini-auction.

Rajasthan Royals have traded their two senior players Sanju Samson and Nitish Rana. Now, their top order looks strong with Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal, but they also need some experience. Going with Suryavanshi may have been a wise decision, even though the 14-year-old has been a tremendous player. For this reason, Quinton can be targeted and if needed, he can also be dropped at number three.
