KL Rahul appeared frustrated when he and his wife, Athiya Shetty, were surrounded by fans during India’s home series against South Africa. The moment happened as the couple stepped out of a restaurant after dinner.

When they walked out, a group of fans came close to take pictures. KL Rahul tried to refuse, saying it was already late, but the crowd kept pressing forward and surrounding him anyway.

A member of KL Rahul’s security team had to physically hold back the fans as they continued to move closer. When Athiya Shetty stepped out, attention quickly shifted towards her as well, with people gathering around and requesting photographs.

After turning down requests several times, Rahul appeared clearly irritated by the crowd’s behaviour. He was dressed in a simple black T-shirt, while Athiya wore a black shirt paired with jeans. The cricketer also seemed visibly concerned as fans began moving closer to Athiya.

KL Rahul is not a part of the ongoing T20I series versus South Africa. He played in the Test matches and the ODIs against the Proteas. KL Rahul led the Indian side during the three-match ODI series due to Shubman Gill’s unavailability. India emerged victorious under his captaincy, clinching the series 2-1.

India clinched the opening ODI in Ranchi by 17 runs after setting a target of 350, with Rahul scoring a valuable 60 from 56 balls as South Africa were bowled out for 332. The Proteas hit back in the second game, successfully chasing 359 despite Rahul’s unbeaten 66 off 43 deliveries.
