Punjab Kings (PBKS) went into the IPL 2026 mini-auction with the second-lowest purse after Mumbai Indians. Last season's runner-up PBKS had only INR 11.50 crore in their kitty. They retained as many as 21 players and released just four.

The Shreyas Iyer-led side had four slots remaining ahead of the auction, including two for overseas players. They are a settled side with a confident captain and determined coach at the helm. On an expected note, the Kings remained silent for most of the auction and acquired the services of just four players at the auction table at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
