Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinched the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 title by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final, lifting the trophy for the first time in their 18-year history. The side was captained by Rajat Patidar and powered by standout performers such as Virat Kohli, Josh Hazlewood, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Suyash Sharma, and Phil Salt.

The Bengaluru-based franchise was particularly dominant in away matches and appeared well-balanced throughout the season. As they look to defend their title, RCB will enter the IPL 2026 mini-auction with a purse of INR 16.4 crore and eight slots left to fill in their squad.

Notably, RCB did not complete any player trades ahead of the auction, signaling confidence in their existing core as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) strengthened their squad at the IPL 2026 auction by signing Venkatesh Iyer for ₹7 crore and New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy for ₹2 crore. They also picked up Mangesh Yadav for ₹5.20 crore. In addition, RCB secured Satvik Deswal, Vicky Ostwal, Vihaan Malhotra, and Kanishk Couhan for ₹30 lakh each, while England wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox was signed for ₹75 lakh.
