Krains Fuletra is a young, uncapped Indian left-arm wrist spinner from Saurashtra who was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 30 lakh at the IPL 2026 mini-auction in Abu Dhabi. The 21-year-old will make his IPL debut this season, marking his first contract in the league.
Fuletra has been on the radar of IPL franchises primarily because of the rarity of his skill set. Left-arm wrist spinners are a scarce commodity in Indian domestic cricket, and teams increasingly value bowlers who can control the middle overs while offering wicket-taking options.
He rose to prominence during the 2025 Saurashtra Pro T20 League, where he played for Anmol Kings Halar. In that tournament, Fuletra picked up 10 wickets in nine innings while maintaining an economy rate of around seven runs per over. He was often used in the middle overs to choke scoring and break partnerships, and his consistent performances earned him the Emerging Player award.
Despite his success at the franchise and league level, Fuletra remains relatively inexperienced in senior domestic cricket. He has played only two T20 matches for Saurashtra so far, making him a raw but high-upside prospect rather than a proven performer.
Notably, Fuletra was already familiar with the IPL environment, having worked as a net bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad during the 2025 season. That exposure, combined with his recent performances and unique bowling style, likely influenced SRH’s decision to invest in him as a long-term spin option for IPL 2026 and beyond.
