India Vs South Africa: Will Fog Cancel 5th T20I In Ahmedabad As Well?

India and South Africa were supposed to take on each other in the 4th T20I of the five-match series at the Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. However, the match did not take place as it was called off due to the excessive foginn Lucknow. The two sides face off for the 5th and final game of the series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Fans would now be wondering whether this match too is in danger of being cancelled, given the situation of fog in the country.

However, fans need not worry. There is no chance of fog in Ahmedabad, according to official weather predictions by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Skies will be clear,r and temperatures are expected to hover from 15-30 degrees Celsius. Hence, the weather will be fine, and we can expect a full match to happen in Ahmedabad.
 

Why India Vs South Africa 5th T20I Ia s Must-Win for India

India is currently leading the T20I series by a margin of 2-1. They began the series with a massive 101-run win in Cuttack. This was followed by a heavy defeat by 51 runs at Mullanpur. In the third T20I in Dharamsala, India, once again sealed a win by 25 runs.

With the fourth match abandoned, the series remains 2-1 in favour of India. Hence, India needs to win this matchtoo win this series 3-1.

Even if they lose the 5th T20I, India will not lose the series, as it will be drawn 2-2. For South Africa, a win is a must if they want to avoid a series defeat.

No Shubman Gill In 5th T20I

India is all set to miss their vice-captain, Shubman Gil,l in the fifth and final T20I at Ahmedabad. The star batter suffered a toe injury during a practice session before the 4th T20I.

After inspections, it was confirmed that Gill would be out for the remainder of the series.

He joins Axar Patel, who was also ruled out of the final two T20Is due to illness.
