In Sultanpur, the truck went out of control due to fog and entered a tea shop, two including the driver died.

Sultanpur. This morning, a speeding truck went out of control and rammed into a tea shop in dense fog in Kurmiyane Rampur of Lambhua Kotwali area in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. In this accident, two people including the truck driver died on the spot, while three others were injured.

A truck lost control due to dense fog on Diara to Lambhua road on Thursday morning in Kurmiyane Rampur of Kotwali area. The truck rammed straight into Lalji’s thatched tea shop and collided with a tree. Some customers were also present at the shop.

Rohit (25), son Lalji and his wife Rajkumari (50) were present at the shop at the time of the accident. Rohit died on the spot after being hit by a truck. Rajkumari was seriously injured and was taken to CHC for treatment. Shriram’s son Jagroop and Nandu were also injured at the shop.

As soon as the information was received, Lambhua police reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. The police moved the truck back with the help of JCB. A gas cutter was called to take out the body of the dead driver trapped near the steering of the truck. The driver has been identified as Ankit Pal, son of Shiv Bahadur Pal, resident of Imalia village, Haiderganj police station, Ayodhya. A bike and a bicycle were also damaged in the accident. Naib Tehsildar of Lambhua also reached the spot. Kotwal Sandeep Kumar Rai said that the body was sent for post-mortem. Other legal action is being taken.
