Indian team captain Rohit Sharma recently attended the convocation ceremony of a university in Gurugram. During his speech he shared experiences from his cricket career and stories of the difficult times he faced. Meanwhile, while talking about his experiences of playing in Australia, Rohit criticized and made fun of the England cricket team.

Rohit Sharma said that playing cricket in Australia, especially Test cricket, is very challenging. Giving the example of Team India’s Test win in Brisbane, he said, “Test cricket itself is very difficult because it requires concentration for the entire five days. Playing in Australia is considered to be the most difficult. You can only ask England. So for us, winning that match and the series in Australia was a big achievement. We learned a lot from it.”

Coincidentally, this statement of Rohit Sharma came on the same day when England suffered an 82-run defeat in the Adelaide Test. With this, Australia established its hold in the current Ashes series by registering three consecutive wins. While Team India has made a record of winning five Test matches and two series in Australia in the last 7-8 years, England has not been able to win a single Test in Australia since 2010-11 and has faced defeat in 17 consecutive Test matches so far.
