Indian international stars Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul will be joining their respective teams to feature in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, as the national side will be preparing for the ODI series against New Zealand.

The players have confirmed the availability of their state associations about their availability for the 50-over domestic tournament.

The test and ODI skipper Shubman Gill, is expected to play the January 03 and 06 games for Punjab, who take on Sikkim and Goa in Jaipur.

Placed in Group C, Punjab are in fourth place with two wins from three games. He will have to leave the state side soon to join the national side, which is expected to assemble in Baroda on January 7-8 for the first ODI in the New Zealand tour of India 2026.

Ravindra Jadeja has communicated to the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) that he will play the January 06 and 08 matches against Services and Gujarat.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) could not immediately confirm which games KL Rahul will play; however, it is likely turn up to play for the matches between January 03 and 06 against Tripura and Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has confirmed that Yashasvi Jaiswal has reached Jaipur and is anticipated to play the game against Goa for Mumbai.

With star players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant having featured in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Jasprit Bumrah has taken up the VHT duties as he is rested due to a precautionary step to avoid too much workload.

Virat Kohli, who played two games in the VHT, will be returning for the match played on January 06, which is being captained by Pant. Wk-batter Rishabh Pant is also consistently featuring for Delhi and will play the entire season for his team.

The first match of the ODI series will be played on January 11 at Vadodara International Cricket Stadium, Kotambi.
