Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar, son of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar, is continuously working hard to make a place in the Indian cricket team. However, till now his performance has not shown that consistency which is considered necessary to reach the national team.

Arjun’s performance has not been special

Arjun is a bowling all-rounder. Whenever he has got opportunities in domestic cricket, he has occasionally performed well, but most of the time he has failed to make an impact. His performance was weak in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 and he was seen struggling in the Vijay Hazare Trophy also.

Talking about IPL, Arjun was earlier associated with Mumbai Indians. Now in IPL 2026 he will be seen playing for Lucknow Super Giants. LSG included him in their team through trade before the mini auction. Now it remains to be seen whether he gets a chance in the playing eleven or not.

Yograj Singh gave batting advice

Arjun impresses sometimes with his bowling and sometimes with his batting. But experts believe that they should focus more on one department. Yograj, father of former player and veteran cricketer Yuvraj Singh, expressed his opinion on this issue.

Yograj Singh said in a conversation, “Arjun should focus more on batting. He is a good batsman and a glimpse of his father Sachin Tendulkar is visible in his batting.”

26 year old Arjun Tendulkar has played 22 first class matches so far. In these he has taken 48 wickets and scored 620 runs. In List A cricket, he has taken 25 wickets and 146 runs in 21 matches. In T20 cricket, he has 35 wickets and 189 runs in his name in 29 matches.

Arjun has also scored a century in first class cricket. Apart from this, he has achieved the feat of taking four wickets twice and five wickets once. Now the coming time is considered very important for his career.
