India ODI Team: Team India has been announced for the ODI series against New Zealand. The selectors have taken a shocking decision and dropped Tilak Verma and Rituraj Gaikwad from the squad. The big news is that Shreyas Iyer has returned to the team. Apart from him, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has also returned to the team. Shubman Gill will be the captain and Nitish Reddy has also got a chance in the team.

Big decision regarding Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer Was injured during the ODI series on Australia tour.

He has been out of the cricket field for two months. However, in the last 10 days, he has regained his fitness at the BCCI Center of Excellence. Iyer has got a place in the ODI series against New Zealand but if he is not completely fit in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match on January 6, then he may be out of the team.

Gaikwad's leaf cut

Shreyas Iyer's return means that Gaikwad's card has been cut. This player did amazing batting in the ODI series against South Africa.
