Honey Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez set to perform in WPL 2026 opening ceremony in Navi Mumbai

The fourth edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will kick off with defending champion Mumbai Indians taking on 2024 title-winner Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

But before the first ball is bowled at 7:30 PM, the fans and spectators will be treated to a pre-match entertainment show which will begin at 6:45 PM.

Celebrated singer Honey Singh and actress Jacqueline Fernandez are set to perform at the WPL 2026 opening ceremony, with Miss Universe 2021 and actress Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu also slated to grace the stage ahead of the match.

The first leg of this WPL edition will see the five franchises — Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz — play in Navi Mumbai before the tournament moves to Vadodara. The Gujarat city will also host the knockouts.

The Harmanrpeet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians is the most successful side in the tournament’s history with two titles, followed by the Smriti Mandhana-captained Royal Challengers Bengaluru which emerged as champion once.

Delhi Capitals was the runner-up in all of the previous three campaigns.
