Rae Bareli: The body of a two and a half year old innocent boy, who went missing under suspicious circumstances from Pichwara village of Jagatpur police station area, has been recovered from the pond after eight days. The child’s family had informed the police on January 2 last year, fearing kidnapping. Prima facie it is being said that the innocent child drowned in the pond. However, the police are saying that some conclusions will be drawn only after the post mortem report comes.

Additional SP Sanjeev Kumar Sinha said that the matter is of Pichwara village of Jagatpur police station area. Nagendra, who lives here, lives outside and works as a labourer. His wife Anantha lives with their two children Abhi and Arnav. On January 2, Anantha’s two and a half year old child was reported missing through dial 112. After this the police team reached the spot.

Anantha had told during interrogation that she had gone to the market with Arnav on January 2. Was at home for just (two and a half years). When Anantha returned from the market after some time, he was still missing. He searched for Abhi a lot, but could not find him. After this a missing person was registered and a search was underway. Based on the information, water was drained from the pond located near the village on Thursday evening. From which the innocent body has been recovered. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Further action will be taken after the report comes.
