Mustafizur Rahman Controversy: Afghanistan's star cricketer Mohammad Nabi is playing in Bangladesh Premier League these days. He was currently in the news for batting with his 19 year old son Hasan Isaakhil. This is the first pair in cricket history of father and son playing together. Both Nabi and his son Hasan are part of the Noakhali Express team in BPL. After this historic achievement, when Mohammad Nabi came to hold a press conference, he got angry at a question asked about Mustafizur Rahman. His anger was captured on camera.
Mohammad Nabi was asked about BCCI's decision to expel Mustafizur Rahman from IPL? He was asked whether what happened to Mustafizur Rahman was right? On hearing this from the journalist, Mohammad Nabi became furious and replied bluntly. He said angrily, what does this question have to do with me? What do I have to do with Mustafir Rahman? This question is not related to me otherwise why should I answer it?

BCCI decided to expel Mustafizur Rahman from IPL in protest against the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh. After this action of BCCI, BCB appealed to the ICC not to play the T20 World Cup 2026 in India, which was rejected. Bangladesh wanted its matches to be shifted from India to Sri Lanka, which is the second host of the tournament. But, ICC said that it will have to play its matches as per the scheduled schedule.
However, according to the latest report of Cricbuzz, the venues of Bangladesh's T20 World Cup matches will change but they will not be shifted to Sri Lanka. They can be removed from Kolkata and Mumbai and shifted to Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram.
On January 11, Mohammad Nabi came into limelight after batting with his son in the match against Dhaka Capitals. During his 17-run innings in that match, Nabi made a partnership of 53 runs with his son Hasan for the fourth wicket, which is a new record for the biggest partnership ever made by Noakhali Express for this wicket in T20.
Mohammad Nabi's son Hasan Isaakhil, who came to open the match, scored 92 runs in 60 balls, which included 5 sixes and 7 fours. That was the biggest innings by any batsman of Noakhali Express in T20.
