NEW DELHI: The three-match ODI series now moves to Indore, where India and New Zealand will lock horns in the decisive third ODI at the Holkar Cricket Stadium. With the series level, both sides have everything to play for in what promises to be a high-pressure encounter.
India began the series on a positive note but suffered a setback in the second ODI. On a tricky surface, KL Rahul fought a lone battle with the bat, scoring a sensational century that kept India in the contest despite wickets falling around him.
New Zealand, on the other hand, has been impressive in patches. Daryl Mitchell once again delivered against India, continuing his habit of stepping up in big moments. Their bowling attack, though relatively inexperienced, did a commendable job in the second ODI and will aim to carry that momentum forward.
Virat Kohli will be keen to build on his form after narrowly missing out on a century in the first ODI, where he was dismissed for 93. Indore could be the stage for another defining knock.
KL Rahul, the centurion from the previous match, will once again shoulder the responsibility. His ability to finish games and absorb pressure makes him vital in the decider.
Mohammed Siraj will need to rediscover rhythm with the ball. The experienced pacer must use his skill and experience to lead India’s attack effectively.

Glenn Phillips brings all-round value with his aggressive batting, handy bowling, and electric fielding, capable of turning the game on its head.
Kyle Jamieson will lead the bowling attack once again. His bounce and discipline make him a constant threat, especially with the new ball.

The Holkar Stadium pitch is known for being batting-friendly, with short boundaries and good bounce. Bowlers may get some movement early, but once batters are set, run-scoring becomes easier. A high-scoring contest is expected.
Clear skies are expected in Indore with no threat of rain. Conditions should be ideal for cricket, setting the stage for a full 50-over series decider.
