Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has received official approval from the Karnataka government to organize international cricket and Indian Premier League matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This decision is a big step towards lifting the ban on the stadium after the tragic incident that happened last year.

KSCA issued a press note saying, 'This permission is subject to compliance with the terms and conditions prescribed by the government and the concerned authorities. KSCA is confident of meeting all the stipulated conditions, the association has already submitted a detailed compliance roadmap before the Expert Review Committee and is fully committed to implementing all safety, security and crowd management measures.
