Chinnaswamy Stadium has now got permission for international and IPL matches. Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has taken clearance from the government. No match was played due to the stadium not being safe after 2025.
Chinnaswamy Stadium gets permission to host matches
KSCA official Vinay Mrutyunjay said that the Home Department, Government of Karnataka has given permission to organize the match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This permission is subject to compliance with the terms and conditions set by the government and concerned authorities. He said that KSCA has prepared a complete plan for all security, crowd management and other necessary measures and is fully committed to implementing it.
Women’s World Cup matches could not be played in Bengaluru in 2025. There was a stampede in the stadium after the IPL that year. More than 10 people were killed and about 50 people were injured in this accident. RCB won its first IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings.
RCB team can also play some of its home matches in Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has confirmed this. He said that a conversation has been held with RCB CEO Rajesh Menon and it has been decided that two matches will be held in Raipur.
The RCB team has been a part of every IPL season since 2008 and has always played its home matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
