Asian Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship: Recently, there was a big uproar between India and Bangladesh regarding the T20 World Cup 2026. Bangladesh had refused to send their team to India, due to which they had to be out of the tournament. The Bangladesh government had demanded to shift its matches to Sri Lanka citing security, which was rejected by the ICC. But the Bangladesh government has surprised everyone with its decision for the Asian Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship.

Bangladesh team will come to India

The Bangladesh government has approved the tour of its national shooting team to India to participate in the Asian Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship. This championship will be held from 2 to 14 February 2026. Before this decision, there was uncertainty regarding the team's participation, but now it has been officially approved. The Ministry of Youth and Sports issued an official Government Order (GO) on Wednesday, in which the team was given permission to participate in this competition. In the case of Shooting Championship, the Bangladesh government believes that the security risk is less, because the event will be held in Indore, which is a safe place.

Youth and Sports Secretary MD Mahboob-ul-Alam confirmed the decision and said all aspects were considered before approving the tour. He said, 'There is only one athlete and one coach in the Bangladesh team, making it a very small group. Furthermore, the organizers have assured us that there will be no security issues. The event will be held inside a protected area, so we do not anticipate any security concerns. After considering all aspects, the government has approved the travel of the shooting team.

This player does not need a visa

Rabiul Islam will participate in this tournament from Bangladesh, who is an important shooter and will play on 5th February. Will get down. National coach Sharmin Akhtar will accompany him. Rabiul, who is a Bangladesh Navy athlete, has a special passport, which allows him to stay in India visa-free for seven days. However, coach Sharmin will have to obtain an Indian visa. The team will leave for New Delhi on 31 January.
