Jammu Kashmir vs Madhya Pradesh: Jammu and Kashmir has created history by reaching the semi-finals of Ranji Trophy. This is the first time that Jammu and Kashmir team has reached the semi-finals of Ranji Trophy. Jammu and Kashmir has secured a ticket for the semi-finals by defeating Madhya Pradesh in the second quarter-final match played at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The biggest contribution of Jammu and Kashmir in this historic victory is of its fast bowler Aaqib Nabi, who gave the most powerful performance of his career.

Aaqib Nabi took 12 wickets, did this for the first time in his career

29 year old right arm fast bowler Aaqib Nabi bowled the best of his career in the quarter final match against Madhya Pradesh. He took a total of 12 wickets in the match, taking 7 wickets in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second innings. This is his best performance in a single match in first class cricket. Meaning, for the first time in his career he has achieved the feat of taking 12 wickets in a match.

97 wickets taken in 18 first class matches only

Aaqib Nabi's recent form has also been amazing.

What was seen against Madhya Pradesh at Holkar Stadium in Indore was also an example of his same form. The proof of his being in form also comes from his statistics. Aaqib Nabi has taken a total of 97 wickets in the 18 first class matches played since last season. This shows what kind of rhythm he is in.

Jammu and Kashmir defeated Madhya Pradesh by 56 runs in the quarter finals. Batting first, Jammu and Kashmir scored 194 runs in its first innings.

In reply, Madhya Pradesh team could score only 154 runs in the first innings. Jammu and Kashmir scored 248 runs in the second innings, in response to which Madhya Pradesh could score only 234 runs and lost the match.
