Indians in The Hundred auction: Deepti Sharma sold to Sunrisers Leeds; Richa Ghosh goes to Manchester Super Giants

Deepti Sharma became the first Indian player to be sold in the player auction for The Hundred after she was signed by Sunrisers Leeds at her base price of £27,500 (Rs. 34 lakh).

Wicketkeeper batter Richa Ghosh was sold to Manchester Super Giants for her base price of £50,000 (Rs. 61 lakh).

The northern franchise will be Deepti’s second franchise in The Hundred, having previously represented London Spirit for two seasons.

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues have already been pre-signed by franchises ahead of the auction, while 17 Indians including six members of its World Cup-winning squad have also entered the auction.
