The Chennai Super Kings have unveiled a milestone by inducting Suresh Raina and Matthew Hayden into CSK’s Hall of Fame ahead of the IPL 2026 season.

The announcement was given during the grand ‘Roar 26’ fan event at Chepauk. The ceremony celebrated their pivotal role in CSK’s League and Champions League triumphs, with both players leaving lasting legacies.

The ceremony at the MA Chidambaram Stadium brought together past and present Chennai Super Kings stars, celebrating the team’s legacy with music performances and fanfare.

Suresh Raina has been one of the most iconic figures in CSK’s journey represented the franchise from its inception in 2008 until 2021.

Known as ‘Chinna Thala’ among supporters, he was also part of the team’s Champions League triumphs in 2010 and 2014, where he earned the Player of the Tournament award in the latter after scoring 234 runs.

Raina remains CSK’s leading run-scorer, scoring 5529 runs, including two centuries and 38 half-centuries across his career with the franchise.

On the other hand, Matthew Hayden was associated with CSK between 2008 and 2010 and contributed to their early success.

He was part of the side which won the IPL title in 2010 and also claimed the orange cap in the 2009 season after scoring 572 runs, becoming the first CSK player to achieve the feat.

Over his time with the franchise, Matthew Hayden scored 1117 runs, registering eight half-centuries.

The event also featured several CSK players, including Muttiah Muralitharan, Ambati Rayudu, Laksmipathy Balaji, S Badrinath and Michael Hussey.

With CSK having started their preparations for the upcoming season, the side has been hit with back-to-back injury concerns, with Nathan Ellis ruled out due to injury.

As per the IPL 2026 schedule, Chennai Super Kings will play their opener match against Rajasthan Royals on March 30 at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati.
