India women’s team announced, Anushka Sharma got her first chance for South Africa tour

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian women’s team for the South Africa tour. This team will play a five-match T20 series starting from April 17, which will continue till April 27.

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the team for this tour, while Smriti Mandhana will play the role of vice-captain. There is a balance of many experienced and young players in the team.

The biggest news in this team is the selection of Anushka Sharma, who has got a place in the Indian team for the first time.

She recently performed brilliantly for Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Anushka scored 177 runs in 7 innings, her average was 25.28 and strike rate was 129.19. His performance caught the attention of the selectors and he got a chance in the national team.

The team includes players like Shefali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh, Bharti Fulmali and Uma Chhetri, who will strengthen the batting.

Shreyanka Patil and Shri Charani will play important roles along with Deepti Sharma in the spin department.

The responsibility of fast bowling will be on Renuka Thakur, Arundhati Reddy and Kranti Goud.

The first two matches of the series will be played in Durban on 17 and 19 April. After this, matches will be held in Johannesburg on 22 and 25 April. The final match will be played in Benoni on 27 April.
