Delhi: A big news has come to light regarding England’s ace batsman Ben Duckett. Actually, Duckett has withdrawn his name from the tournament a day before the start of IPL 2026. He has informed Delhi Capitals about this. Duckett has apologized for this on social media.

It was believed that Duckett would be KL Rahul’s opening partner in the tournament. However, now he has decided not to participate in this season.

This decision of Duckett may prove fatal for him. Due to this decision, he may be banned from participating in IPL till 2029, because BCCI has made a rule that if the players bought in the auction withdraw their names without any valid reason before the start of the tournament, then they will not be able to participate in the next two seasons of IPL.

At the same time, he will not be included in the list of players to be sold in the next two auctions. In this way, perhaps Duckett will not get a chance to play in IPL 2027 and 2028.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Duckett explained his decision, saying,
