BCCI announced the second phase schedule for IPL 2026 on Tuesday with 50 matches set to be played across 12 venues between April 13 and May 24. The first phase of runs from March 28 to April 12 covering the opening 21 matches.

The second phase will pick up immediately after with Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad on April 13 and runs all the way through to May 24 when the league stage concludes. The playoff venues will be announced separately at a later date.

IPL 2026: The venues and what is new in the second phase

The second phase of spreads across 12 cities giving the tournament its widest geographical footprint of the season.

Matches will be played in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamsala, Raipur and New Chandigarh. The second phase features eight double-headers with afternoon matches starting at 3:30 PM IST and evening matches at 7:30 PM IST.

Punjab Kings will play their home IPL games in New Chandigarh and Dharamsala with three matches scheduled at Dharamsala during this phase. Rajasthan Royals will host four home IPL games in Jaipur.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play three IPL home matches in Bengaluru and two in Raipur giving the defending champions a split home arrangement for the latter part of the league stage.
