IPL 2026 MI vs KKR Playing 11: Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians will square off against Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2nd match of the IPL 2026 on March 29 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The Mumbai Indians have a star-studded lineup and have further strengthened their lineup with selective picks during the IPL 2026 auction.

Meanwhile, KKR’s bowling lineup looks thin ahead of the season, having been hit with major injury concerns.

Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders have met on 35 occasions, where Mumbai holds a dominating record of 24 wins, while the Riders have only 11 wins.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Hardik Pandya said, “We would like to bowl first. Looks like a good wicket. We will see. Looks a little more greener than it used to.”

Got such a wonderful crowd.

This is our fortress. This is our home crowd. We started a little bit earlier,” added Pandya.

At the same point of time, we have a lot of experienced players. Absolutely. I have got Rohit Sharma, Surya, and also I got Mitchell Santner,” further added Pandya.

Jassi (Jasprit Bumrah) is back. So, he is there. We are going with 6 bowlers and 5 batters,” concluded Hardik Pandya.

Meanwhile, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said, “We were looking to bowl, never seen this amount of grass at Wankhede. Preparations have been good, couple of camps in Kolkata and in Mumbai as well.”

“Know that MI is a champion team and we’re looking forward to be playing against them. Just stay at the moment and don’t look at the past,” he added.

“A couple of injuries – we’re going with 6 batters and 5 bowlers. Four overseas players – Cameron Green, Finn Allen, Sunil Narine and Blessing Muzarabani,” concluded Rahane.
