Fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who is out of the Indian cricket team, has predicted about the top four teams of this year’s IPL 2026. Shami answered many questions during a conversation with podcast host Shubhankar Mishra and when asked about the top 4 teams of this season, he did not hesitate to put his team at the top.
After a poor performance in the last season of IPL, Mohammed Shami was picked by Lucknow Super Giants in the mini-auction. SRH did not show any interest in taking back this fast bowler but Lucknow expressed confidence in Shami’s ability and bought Shami for a huge price of Rs 10 crore. In such a situation, when Mohammed Shami was asked in the podcast to choose the top four teams of this tournament, he placed Lucknow in the top 4.
Shami also chose Lucknow Super Giants, his old team Kolkata Knight Riders and another of his old franchise Punjab Kings. He said that Royal Challengers Bangalore is also playing well and can be one of the top four teams. Let us tell you that despite qualifying in two brilliant seasons since its debut in 2022, the Lucknow team has failed to make it to the playoffs of the tournament in the last two seasons. Since 2024, they have missed a place in the playoffs.
In such a situation, there will be a lot of expectations from his team this time because there are many great players in the team. On one hand, there are dangerous batsmen like Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant and Nicholas Pooran, while the fast bowling of the team looks amazing. The team has Mohsin Khan to Mayank Yadav and the experience of Mohammed Shami will also be very useful for the team. In such a situation, eyes are going to be on this team this season.
