Sports Desk. Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has got a big shock after Gujarat Titans won the fourth match of IPL 19. BCCI has fined Shreyas Iyer Rs 12 lakh for a mistake in the match against Gujarat Titans. BCCI has declared Punjab Kings, captained by Shreyas, guilty of slow over rate.

BCCI considers this a violation of the IPL code of conduct. This match between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings was played on Tuesday night at the New International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.

This was Punjab Kings’ first offense under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which relates to minimum over rate offences. For this reason, a fine of Rs 12 lakh was imposed on team captain Iyer. Let us tell you that last year Iyer had to face punishment from BCCI twice due to slow over rate.
