Delhi Capitals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets in the IPL 2026 match played at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Wednesday (April 1).

This is Delhi’s fifth consecutive win against Lucknow but this victory might not have come without Delhi coach Hemang Badani. Badani made a move in the match against Lucknow which helped Delhi win the lost match.

Chasing a modest target of 142 runs, the chase was not at all easy for Delhi Capitals.

The visiting team was in trouble at the very beginning of its innings, losing 4 wickets for 26 runs. Seeing this, fans and cricket experts were convinced that maybe Delhi team would lose this match but a decision of Badani changed the course of the match.

After the fall of 4 wickets, South African batsman David Miller looked ready to bat but then a moment came which immediately caught everyone’s attention.

Badani came running from the dressing room towards the dugout and intervened. Instead of sending Miller in to bat, he hinted at a change in the batting order. He sent Tristan Stubbs to bat and also used Sameer Rizvi as an ‘impact player’. You can watch his video below.
