Rajasthan Royals may not have won the IPL title again after 2008, but this team has given many excellent young players to Indian cricket over the years. Especially on the batting front, Rajasthan has nurtured young gems and two such excellent batsmen are currently the lifeblood of Rajasthan's batting and are making records. These are Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, whose pairing was formed only last season and is now one of the most explosive opening pairs of this league. Now both are going to have a special record in their names, which they can achieve in just one ball.
Rajasthan Royals will face Gujarat Titans on Saturday 4th April. In this match, once again all the focus will be on Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has been creating a stir since his debut at the age of just 14. But not only Vaibhav, eyes will also be on his senior partner Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been showing the power of his bat in IPL for the last 3-4 seasons and has also become a hit in international cricket.
Yashasvi and Vaibhav have not only made their own identity and name as batsmen but now both of them seem to be making a special place as an opening partnership as well. In this direction, he has a chance to make a special record, which is still recorded in the names of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. When Vaibhav and Yashasvi come out to bat against Gujarat, they will need only 3 runs and by doing so, both will make the record of being the fastest opening pair to score 500 runs.
Vaibhav and Yashasvi can achieve this feat even by hitting a four on the first ball. So far both have added 497 runs in their opening partnership in just 246 balls. Whereas Sehwag and Gambhir (Delhi) had achieved this feat in 309 balls. That means Yashasvi-Vaibhav have enough time to break this record. Statistics show that both have scored these runs with a strike rate of more than 200.
