Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya missed out on his side’s IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
Suryakumar Yadav is leading MI in Pandya’s absence, with Deepak Chahar replacing the Indian all-rounder in the playing XII.
“Hardik’s not well. Doesn’t look good. So, I’m getting into his shoes today,” said Suryakumar after the toss at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Pandya had bowled three overs in MI’s tournament opener, against KKR, to take a solitary wicket while giving away 39 runs.
Later, he scored a 11-ball 18 as Mumbai Indians cruised to a comfortable six-wicket win.
