While playing against Rajasthan Royals (RR), he bowled the ball at a speed of 154.2 kilometers per hour, which became the fastest ball of this season. With this performance, Ashok Sharma has become the third fastest Indian bowler in IPL history. Only Umran Malik (157 km/hr) and Mayank Yadav (156.7 km/hr) are ahead of him.
