Parag Deshpande wanted to bowl the 19th over; who suggested Jofra Archer? He revealed his name after winning the match.

After registering a six-run win in the very exciting IPL match against Gujarat Titans on the basis of excellent bowling in the last two overs, Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag said that Dhruv Jurel had suggested to bowl the 19th over to Jofra Archer.

Gujarat ultimately needed 15 runs in two overs and Rashid Khan was playing freely along with Kagiso Rabada. In such a situation, Archer gave only four runs in the 19th over whereas in the last over of Tushar Deshpande also only four runs were scored and Rashid was also out.

After the match, Parag said that I wanted Deshpande to bowl the 19th over and Archer to bowl the 20th over but Jurel told me to bowl the 19th over to Archer.

He said that it was an excellent performance. We took a risk and the players proved it right. The kind of performance we wanted was seen in the last two overs.
