Nitish Kumar Reddy delivered another strong performance for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), helping his side post a competitive total of 156 runs against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 5 in Hyderabad.

Reddy played a crucial knock of 53 runs off 33 balls, helping SRH recover from the loss of four early wickets. His innings was laced with three boundaries and five sixes. The 22-year-old stitched together a vital 116-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen to ensure SRH reached a respectable total.

Reddy carried forward the momentum from his previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday. The seam-bowling all-rounder scored a quick 39 off 24 balls and picked up two crucial wickets while conceding only 17 runs in two overs. He was also named Player of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance in Kolkata.

Apart from Reddy, Klaasen scored a valuable 62 off 41 balls, including five fours and two sixes, at a strike rate of 151.21, which helped his side push the total beyond 150.

LSG’s bowlers performed well, with Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, and Avesh Khan picking up two wickets each. Meanwhile, spinners Digvesh Rathi and Manimaran Siddharth chipped in with one wicket apiece.

So far in the tournament, SRH have secured one win from two matches, while LSG are playing their second game after losing their season opener against Delhi Capitals (DC).
