LGS vs GT: Rishabh Pant failed again, Vaibhav Suryavanshi crossed the number of runs scored in 4 matches with just sixes.

The bat of Rishabh Pant, the most expensive player in IPL history, is not ready to play. Last year, Rishabh Pant, who became the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, failed in the entire season. His same condition continues in IPL 2026 also. The Lucknow captain definitely led the team to victory by scoring a fighting half-century in the second match of the season, but apart from that, he has not been able to play any useful innings in the remaining matches. The situation was similar against Gujarat Titans, where despite a fast start, they were again dismissed cheaply.

Batting position changed but failure continues

Came to bat first in the match against Gujarat on Sunday 12th April at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Lucknow The beginning was not good. The team's star opener Mitchell Marsh failed once again this season and was out early. After that came captain Rishabh Pant, who was batting at number four last season but in the first match of this season, he opened and after failure there, came at number three.

But even this much change in batting position is not affecting the performance of Rishabh Pant. In the second match of the season, he led the team to victory by playing an unbeaten inning of 68 runs. But he failed in the first match and then in the next two matches. In the match against Gujarat, Pant gave a good start by hitting two powerful fours and an excellent six as soon as he came to the crease, but he was caught out while trying to play a big shot on the ball of Mohammad Siraj.

Vaibhav scored more runs by hitting sixes

Pant was out after scoring only 18 runs in 11 balls. In this way, for the third time in IPL 2026, he fell on a score of less than 20. In the very first match, Pant could score only 7 runs against Delhi. Then he scored 68 runs against Hyderabad but in the very next match against Kolkata, he returned to the pavilion on 10 runs.

In this way, overall he could score only 103 runs after facing 79 balls in 4 innings. The surprising thing is that 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored more runs than Pant has scored just by hitting sixes. Vaibhav has hit 18 sixes so far in this season i.e. he has scored 108 runs just by hitting sixes.
