Vaibhav Sooryavanshi- Sakib Hussain: Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in IPL 2025. But the announcement regarding his entry into IPL was made even before that. One of his friends had announced about this in IPL 2024 itself. Meaning, when Rajasthan Royals had not even conducted trials for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. This announcement of Vaibhav Suryavanshi's entry on the IPL stage was made by one of his best friends. This was revealed by the coach who has coached both Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his friend while talking to TV9.

Now you must be wondering who is that friend of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who had announced his entry into IPL even before his arrival? This friend was none other than Saqib Hussain. Saqib Hussain, who is playing for SRH in IPL 2026 and took 4 wickets in his debut match itself, when he was a part of KKR team in IPL 2024, had announced the arrival of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Coach Saurabh Kumar, who trains both Vaibhav and Saqib, who is also known as Robin sir, revealed this while talking to TV9.

A boy is coming from Bihar… Robin sir told this story

According to Saurabh Kumar alias Robin, both Saqib and Vaibhav are like best friends. The bonding between both is very strong. Both know each other's game well. After this he said that when Saqib was in Kolkata Knight Riders, he used to tell everyone there that a boy is coming from Bihar.

Robin sir further told that due to Saqib saying this repeatedly, KKR head coach Abhishek Nair called me and asked who is the player about whom Saqib keeps talking. Then I said – Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Vaibhav turned out just as Saqib Hussain had predicted.

That opportunity also came in IPL 2025 when the world saw Vaibhav Suryavanshi on the IPL stage for the first time and by scoring a century in 35 balls in his very first IPL season, Vaibhav Suryavanshi proved how right what his friend Saqib was saying was.
